The Brotherhood of International Mark Boat Operators was formed to assure yacht racing enthusiasts the highest standards of course design and management. It is often assumed that the race officer sets these standards. However, for the enlightened, it is obvious that all quality racing is made possible by the professionalism of the Mark Boat Operator.

When the ancient Greeks plied the Aegean Sea, it was the BIMBO’s who set the courses. At the first America Cup, again it was the BIMBO’s. The examples are legion.

On the other hand who can forget the first attempt of race officers to set a course, the voyage of the Titanic.

To standardize and assure conformity to proper procedure, and course etiquette, the forerunner of the following Articles were formalized by the BIMBO’s of the 1996 Olympic games.

BIMBO

Brotherhood of International Mark Boat Operators

The Brotherhood of International Mark Boat Operators is dedicated to the premise that yacht racing is the true expression of man’s existence.

That principal race officers are overrated.

That the Brotherhood of International Mark Boat Operators rule the waves.
